INTERVIEW
As a Global Independent Software Vendor (GISV), K3 collaborates with the Microsoft Dynamics partner network to deploy solutions to fashion and apparel businesses worldwide.
One notable example is Dynamics Business Excellence (DBE), which prides itself on “making the impossible possible”.
We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Frédéric Eybert, President and CEO at DBE, overseeing the company’s operations in France, to provide a behind-the-scenes look at our partnership.
Frédéric began by sharing an anecdote about the foundation of DBE – a move inspired by the desire to ensure excellence in deploying business management solutions.
With a wealth of experience in Navision and D365 Business Central, Frédéric and his colleagues aimed to offer more than just expertise. They wanted to refocus their work to encompass the complete deployment of Microsoft’s solutions while adhering to the ‘excellence’ criteria that DBE considers essential to the success of client projects.
In many ways, the collaboration between DBE and K3 was inevitable. Frédéric recalled how DBE’s first fashion client, Maison Kitsuné, sought to migrate from NAV to D365 Business Central.
Immediately, it was clear that DBE was in a perfect position to spearhead the project due to its “One Microsoft” approach – but it was much more than a simple ERP upgrade. It was a total digital transformation project that required DBE’s deployment excellence.
Maison Kitsuné, already using K3 Pebblestone with NAV, wanted to continue using it in the new D365 Business Central environment, ensuring it remained entirely within the Microsoft ecosystem. Subsequent meetings between the three parties highlighted the professionalism of the K3 team and the roadmap planned in the Business Central environment, crucially winning over the client.
As the project progressed, a genuine partnership developed between DBE and K3 based on trust and the desire to truly make a difference for our clients. Speaking on the relationship, Frédéric elaborated:
“When partnerships are forged, it’s for better or worse. Our job can’t be monotonous; technology always pushes us to be more daring and innovative. Like any technological progress, there may be tension at times, but it will never change this partnership. A partner needs to be there in good and bad times – this is the type of partnership we are building together.”
Today, consultants from both DBE and K3 work collaboratively as one team, supporting each other when needed. Neither party plays for personal gain; instead, we routinely collaborate and listen to our customers to understand their needs and, ultimately, make the impossible possible.
