Splitting sales orders into different types
Within the realm of fashion, companies often need to split an order into different order types… but this isn’t a common function found in traditional ERP systems.
Following the July release, K3 Fashion now enables users to convert bulk orders into specific order types that are different to the original.
Key characteristics of the original order – like the order date – are preserved to ensure proper prioritisation during allocation, as this is essential to planning.
This is quite significant as it is uncommon for systems to allow new orders to partially inherit details from the original order, which could have been created months beforehand.
Auto adjust matrix with dialog to cancel
To enhance the order creation process, we have introduced an option to auto-adjust quantities within our nifty matrix.
(If you don’t know what our matrix is, it’s a simple yet powerful way to create, view, and manage SKUs – something that is pivotal to fashion due to the sheer volume of item variants produced per season).
When minimums and multiples are set, users can preview the adjusted quantities if the entered quantities do not align with these settings.
This feature enables users to verify system-suggested quantities based on minimum, maximum, and multiple settings before creating order lines… all while still working within the matrix.
Extended sales header and line cancel date calculation
Given the large number of SKUs created every season, managing orders in the fashion industry, including handling cancellation requests, can be a nightmare.
Order cancellations happen at the end of a season when there are still open order lines but no more inventory to allocate against them.
Instead of leaving these unfulfilled lines active – which can impact analysis and master planning calculations – K3 Fashion now allows users to easily cancel them.
By using the cancellation date, all lines that need to be cancelled can be found and subsequently actioned using the journal in one fell swoop.
The system will then produce messages to relay the cancelled lines to customers!
For existing customers, you may recognise this functionality. It was previously only possible based on the order date, but we have enhanced the solution to make it possible using the order data, delivery or receipt date.
Enhanced sales order change management and discount percentage updates
We have extended the pricing journal to allow discounts to be calculated based on customer-specific prices.
In the past, the journal updated different prices for a product to a single discounted price.
Now, using the discount percentage, the original price for the customer is used as a base to calculate the price!
We’ve also extended the Order Change letter so that the customer is automatically updated with the new prices.
Synchronise product statuses across legal entities
In our ongoing effort to enhance legal entity-specific activities and transactions, we have introduced synchronisation of product statuses across legal entities.
This ensures that the product status remains consistent across different entities. Alternatively, it can be deliberately desychronised if necessary!
ChatGPT product description instruction per product category
If you didn’t know, we released a swanky AI-powered product description generator earlier this year.
We’ve since made some tweaks because we realised that users might want to use different fields and attribute combinations when asking ChatGPT to write the commercial description.
Users can now specify different fields and attribute combinations per legal entity to generate more accurate and compelling descriptions.
